A rare opportunity to meet the local bird life up close

BIRD feeding

MONDAYS + WEDNESDAYS | 3PM - 4PM
BOOKINGS REQUIRED

Embark on a unique journey with Christmas Island National Park’s volunteer-led bird feeding tour, showcasing the rescued birds of Christmas Island. This is a splendid opportunity to capture memorable photographs and gain insights through an informative talk about the ongoing rehabilitation projects on island.

Among the feathered stars of the show is the majestic Abbott’s Booby, one of the world's rarest and most intriguing seabird, which calls Christmas Island its only home. This event is more than just an opportunity to see these birds up close; it's an invitation to become part of a larger story of conservation, education, and appreciation for the natural world.

Christmas Island National Parks staff are delighted to offer this experience free of charge, though kindly request that all interested guests book in advance. Join Christmas Island National Parks for an hour of birding inspiration, and leave with memories and knowledge that will last a lifetime.
