The Bike Kiosk Christmas Island

So, you’ve landed on Christmas Island and you want to go exploring. There’s no better way to immerse yourself in a new place than by riding it.
From a rainforest adventure to a noodle around the Settlement, The Bike Kiosk has mountain bikes, eBikes, and electric mountain bikes available for hire from the Christmas Island Tourism Centre (CITA) and the Christmas Island Recreation Centre (CIRC).

WHAT WILL I SEE ON MY CITA BIKE?
A lot! If immersing yourself in local history and culture, plus un-tampered-with nature sounds appealing, take an electric bike and ride towards the abandoned casino resort. Along the coastal route you’ll see tropical nesting birds, temples, the local cemetery, and golf course. Or is checking out real estate more your style, including the first governor’s house? If so, head in the opposite direction, but take your camera because the vibrant elevated Flying Fish Cove views are a must-snap.
CITA offers a selection of premium electric mountain bikes, toddler trailers, and kids pedal bikes.

WHAT WILL I SEE ON MY CIRC BIKE?
Words on a page can’t do justice to the experience of riding an electric mountain bike through the Christmas Island jungle. A-MAZ-ING!
Wherever your bike takes you, be sure to make time to STOP, LISTEN, SEE, TOUCH, AND INHALE your surrounds. This is what life is about. Flood your lungs with the freshest of air, fill your ears with the noises of a world only your ancestors knew, and follow the bustling crab and bird life as they get on with business unfazed by your presence.
Highlights include endless kilometres of uncrowded peddling under a verdant rainforest canopy, gigantic rock formations, sink holes, and trees so big you can climb inside the trunks. Oh, and did we mention the rare bird life and largest land crabs in the world?
CIRC has a great selection of mountain bikes and e-mountain bikes, while guided tours are available on request.

No matter what your adventure we recommend a quick stop at the local police station to pick up a personal locator beacon (PLB) before you leave. They’re free and will make you ‘discoverable’ in the event you lose your way.
