It’s the news we’ve been waiting for!
Yesterday Mrs Natasha Griggs, Administrator of Christmas Island and the Cocos Keeling Islands, announced that a travel zone between Western Australia and the Indian Ocean Territories (IOTs) of Christmas Island and the Cocos Keeling Islands is now in place.
This means that we can now welcome visitors from Western Australia to our Natural Wonder! All visitors to Australia’s Indian Ocean Islands must have been in Western Australia for a minimum 14 days prior to travel but there is no requirement to self isolate upon arrival at the islands or upon return to Perth, Western Australia.
For those not in Western Australia, the wait will be a little longer. But the wait will be worth it, we promise! π
